It's a new school year, and my second year as the Innovation Lab High School (ILHS) PTSA President. Although this is my second and last year in this position, I've been an active guardian at ILHS for over five years. My son graduated from ILHS in 2025 after four years and is starting his sophomore year at Western this fall. My daughter is a junior at ILHS, our class president, and is starting Running Start this year. I also have three older children who graduated from Inglemoor High School.

I'm super passionate about ILHS and can't praise the staff enough for how involved and compassionate they are about our students. They have all gone above and beyond in preparing our students for their futures after ILHS.

Because of the amazing staff, students, and guardians at ILHS, I've been more than happy to take on the role of PTSA President for a second year so that I can support not only our students, but also our staff and guardians.

We are a unique school, and while we are small, that is a huge reason ILHS is able to make such an incredible impact on our students. Our graduates show it by coming back to give presentations, cleaning the school grounds, and continuing to support the school long after they have gone.

We rely not only on our staff but also on our students' guardians to foster this sense of community, and I continue to be amazed at how giving everyone is. Our guardians' support during fundraising has helped the PTSA fund grants for teachers, school staff, and student projects, so they have the educational tools and resources they need. It has also gone a long way toward helping students achieve their goals with Mastery Learning. Some examples include outdoor tables, a memorial for a teacher who passed away, beautification of the school, free feminine products in the restrooms, and a greenhouse. These are just a few of the things our students have accomplished with support from you, their guardians.

I look forward to another year as your PTSA President, and I'm always open to feedback, information, or any questions you may have.
